A structured, transparent, and competency-based assessment system across all phases of the MBBS program.
Assessment Framework
A.There will be formative (in-course) and summative (professional) assessment in each phase of MBBS course.
B.Formative assessment includes items, card exams, term exams, integrated teaching & class attendance.
C.10% marks of written examination of each paper are allocated for formative assessment.
D.MCQ carries 20% marks (SBA 50%, MTF 50%) with separate answer script.
E.SAQ & SEQ carry 70% marks (SEQ ≈ 25%, SAQ ≈ 75%).
F.Oral examination will be Structured Oral Examination (SOE).
G.OSPE/OSCE and traditional long & short cases will assess skills & competencies.
H.Phase-final professional examination will be held within each academic phase.
Formative Assessment
Continuous evaluation through items, card exams, term exams, integrated teaching sessions, and class attendance.
Summative Assessment
Professional examinations conducted at the end of each academic phase to assess overall competency.
