Examination Regulations
Examination Schedule
University professional MBBS examinations will be held twice a year and will be started from the months of May and November.
Completion Within Phase Timeline
University professional MBBS examinations will be completed within the specified time duration of the concerned academic phase.
No Carry-On Before First Professional
There is no carry-on system before passing the First Professional MBBS examination. Students appearing in the First Professional examination may attend clinical classes before publication of results. However, if a student fails in any subject of the first phase, he/she will not be allowed to continue clinical or other classes of the second phase until passing the First Professional MBBS examination.
Eligibility for Second Professional
After passing all subjects of the First Professional MBBS examination, students may appear in the Second Professional MBBS examination, provided all other prerequisites as per curriculum are fulfilled.
Eligibility for Third Professional
To appear in the Third Professional MBBS examination, students must pass all subjects of the Second Professional MBBS examination and fulfill all other prerequisites as per curriculum.
Eligibility for Final Professional
To appear in the Fourth (Final) Professional MBBS examination, students must pass all subjects of the Third Professional MBBS examination and fulfill all other prerequisites. During this period, students may attend clinical ward placement and teaching-learning activities.
These examination rules are strictly followed to ensure structured academic progression, fairness, and maintenance of professional standards in medical education.
